Teaching Tailoring Trade.

Poverty remains widespread in India's struggling economy. Widows are especially vulnerable to unemployment and poverty. About 310 million Indians (28% of the population) live on less than US$ 0.24 a day, way below the poverty line. Most rural women are destitute, abused, oppressed and marginalized. Please help widows and other women learn a skill that they can use to support themselves and their children. GIVE INDIA HOPE has a vision to start tailoring classes. This will provide ongoing support to help villagers learn a trade such as sewing or tailoring. Tailoring work will give them a life-saving opportunity and provide income to come out from poverty.

Medical Camps.

Health problems are acute among the tribal communities. The impoverished do not receive proper medical care. There are no doctors in some of the rural areas. Often they do not go to the hospital, sometimes negligence cost them their lives. Tribal health problems, especially those concerning women and children, are often left unattended and the illnesses get worse. With an emphasis on preventive and curative measures of health, GIVE INDIA HOPE concentrates on the immediate health needs, along with teaching the tribal community preventive health measures and behavioral changes.

Work Among Tribals.

India has about 70 million tribal people belonging to about 461 tribal clans. Most of the tribal are superstitious and illiterate. GIVE INDIA HOPE has been working to lift them up to a higher standard, both socially and spiritually, by teaching them to read and write and to keep clean and be healthy. The tribal are now friendly with the missionaries and are open to receive Christ. Please join hands with GIVE INDIA HOPE to reach all the tribal people of India with the Gospel and help them to be a part of God's kingdom.
